Las Palmas
Just a quick update - since Jilli last posted we sailed back to Las Palmas in the north of Gran Canaria, where the boat now stays until we leave to cross the Atlantic!! A month or so back, we were here for one night and weren’t particularly impressed - in fact, we couldn’t wait to leave! Monday was a very stressful day for Jilli with constant back and forths as to whether we’d be able to get to Tenerife for Mike’s arrival. We also discovered we had engine problems and needed a new part for the engine - the engine man at first was extremely negative about our chances for getting to Tenerife, but...
More boat problems
Monday 11th October:
Well we have spent the days since Shelly and Paul left doing pretty much nothing. We worked on the boat a bit, fixing a third reef (so we can make our sail tiny when its really windy) and sorting out the automatic bilge pump (which takes water out when it gets in the boat). The bilge pump is now almost working, we just need to get some connectors and then its all mended!

Hey there, Jills here. In a very shocking bar called Wigwam surrounded with incredibly strange American Indian headresses. But theres wifi so im here with a glass of white.
Weve just said goodbye to the best guests ever!! Shelly and Paul brought us an assortment of chocolate goodies and films so were all very happy on Triple D.

Every single restaurant looked amazing, of all different price ranges - you could eat at a different one for lunch and dinner every day for a week, probably ending up about 5 stone...
